A journey through the culinary heritage of Crete, starting from the yard (Avli) of our boutique charcuterie!

Veggera is a gathering with friends and acquaintances, sharing food, wine and stories, a meeting for the warm summer afternoons.

Dine in Kassaki’s Avli, around a table full of traditional local flavors, handmade Cretan cold meats, and dishes served directly from the fireside and the traditional wood-fired oven. Your host is Manolis Kassakis, a 4th generation charcutier, who will share stories from the family tradition and explain everything you would like to know about traditional Cretan cured meats and their place in the local cuisine.

*The experience is hosted in Avli by Kassaki Cold Cuts, at Galatas village (30' from Heraklion).

Full menu featuring Cretan cured meats like vinegar sausage, apaki and kapriko, and traditional dishes prepared in a wood-fired oven and fireside by Manolis Kassakis, using fresh vegetables and seasonal products. The menu includes 1 glass of wine per person (white, red, or rosé), from Cretan wineries.
